The present invention provides a method and related devices for installing
software components at a user-terminal of a plurality of user-terminals in
a communications-network. This communications network further consists of
a plurality of hosts and a plurality of network gateways. The
user-terminal is connected to one of the network gateways.
The network gateway receives a connection request from a user-terminal to
establish a connection between the user-terminal and one of the hosts and
detects if the software components are available at the user-terminal. If
the software components are not available, the network gateway sets the
establishment of the connection between the user-terminal and the host in
hold and subsequently establishes a connection between the user-terminal
and a service provisioning network element that also is included in the
communications network. The service provisioning network element downloads
the software components to the user-terminal over a established connection
between the user-terminal and the service provisioning network element.
The network gateway resumes the establishment of the connection between
the user-terminal and the host upon detection of the end of the download.
La presente invenzione fornisce un metodo ed i dispositivi relativi per l'installazione dei componenti di software ad un utente-terminale di una pluralità di utente-terminali in una comunicazione-rete. Questa rete di comunicazioni ulteriore consiste di una pluralità di ospiti e di una pluralità di Gateway della rete. Il utente-terminale è collegato ad uno dei Gateway della rete. Il Gateway della rete riceve una richiesta di collegamento da un utente-terminale di stabilire un collegamento fra il utente-terminale e quello degli ospiti e rileva se i componenti di software sono disponibili al utente-terminale. Se i componenti di software non sono disponibili, il Gateway della rete regola l'istituzione del collegamento fra il utente-terminale e l'ospite nella stretta e successivamente stabilisce un collegamento fra il utente-terminale e un elemento della rete di provisioning di servizio che inoltre è incluso nella rete di comunicazioni. L'elemento della rete di provisioning di servizio trasferisce i componenti dal sistema centrale verso i satelliti di software all'eccedenza del utente-terminale un collegamento stabilito fra il utente-terminale e l'elemento della rete di provisioning di servizio. Il Gateway della rete riprende l'istituzione del collegamento fra il utente-terminale e l'ospite su rilevazione della conclusione del trasferimento dal sistema centrale verso i satelliti.
