A caliper which includes an elongated body with measuring members located
adjacent one end of the device where one of the members is slidable
relative to the other is disclosed. Located on the body is a digital
display and means for programming the device. The device has a scale
multiplier that is programmed by the operator. A writing implement such as
a pen or the like is attached to the opposite end of the device.
