A fluorescent lamp cover which comprises a transparent resin containing a fluorescent brightening agent so as to cut off 90% or more of the rays of 410 nm or less, wherein the fluorescent brightening agent is represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxyl group; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 each represents an alkyl group; and [A] represents a substituted aryl or substituted ethenyl group.

Una cubierta de la lámpara fluorescente que abarca una resina transparente que contiene un agente de blanqueo óptico fluorescente para cortar el 90% o más de los rayos de 410 nm o menos, en donde el agente de blanqueo óptico fluorescente es representado por el fórmula siguiente (i): ## del ## STR1 en donde R.sub.1 y R.sub.4 cada uno representa a un átomo del hidrógeno, a un grupo alkyl o a grupo alkoxyl; R.sub.2 y R.sub.3 cada uno representa a grupo alkyl; y [ A ] representa a grupo aryl o substituido substituido del ethenyl.
