A power transmission fluid comprising a mixture of a major amount of a
lubricating oil and an effective amount of a performance enhancing
additive combination comprising: (a) at least one organic phosphate having
the structure R.sub.1 --X.sub.2 --P(:X.sub.1)(R.sub.2 X.sub.3)--X--R.sub.5
where R.sub.1, and R.sub.2 may independently be substituted or
unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl or cycloalkyl having 1 to 24 carbon
atoms and X, X.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 may independently be sulfur or
oxygen. R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may also contain substituent hetero atoms, in
addition to carbon and hydrogen, such as chlorine, sulfur, oxygen or
nitrogen; wherein R.sub.5 is derived from a reactive olefin and can be
either CH.sub.2 --CHR--C(:O)O--R.sub.6 ; --CH.sub.2 --CR.sub.7 HR.sub.8 ;
or R.sub.9 --OC(:O)CH.sub.2 --CH--C(:O)O--R.sub.10 where R is H or the
same as R.sub.1, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 are the same as
R.sub.1 and R.sub.8 is a phenyl or alkyl or alkenyl substituted phenyl
moiety, the moiety having from 6 to 30 carbon atoms, (b) a calcium
detergent, and (c) a friction modifier.

R.sub.1 en R.sub.2 kan de atomen van substituenthetero, naast koolstof en waterstof, zoals chloor, zwavel, zuurstof of stikstof ook bevatten; waarin R.sub.5 wordt afgeleid uit reactieve olefin en kan één van beide CH.sub.2 -- CHR zijn -- C(:O)O -- R.sub.6; -- CH.sub.2 -- CR.sub.7 HR.sub.8; of R.sub.9 -- OC(:O)CH.sub.2 -- CH -- C(:O)O -- R.sub.10 waar R H of het zelfde als R.sub.1 is, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.9 en R.sub.10 zijn het zelfde als R.sub.1 en R.sub.8 is een phenyl of alkyl of alkenyl gesubstitueerd phenyl deel, het deel dat van 6 tot 30 koolstofatomen heeft, (b) een calciumdetergens, en (c) een wrijvingsbepaling.
