It is possible to recover a volume reducing agent from a waste foamed
polystyrene resin material compacted with the volume reducing agent and to
impregnate a blowing agent into the compacted material at ordinary room
temperature. The volume reducing agent is preferably a polar solvent
having solubility with respect to the polystyrene resin and exhibiting a
mutual solubility with the blowing agent, which is one whose hydrogen bond
term .delta.h and polarity term .delta.p of the Hansen solubility
parameters satisfy the following conditions:
(.delta.p-5.8).sup.2 +(.delta.h-4.3).sup.2 <50 and .delta.p.sup.2
+.delta.h.sup.2 >46 [units :(J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2 ]
The solvent used as the volume reducing agent is preferably at least one
solvent selected from the group consisting of ketones, esters, polyhydric
alcohol ether acetates, ethers, halogenated hydrocarbons, nitro compounds,
and amines. The solvent may be a mixed solvent consisting essentially of
at least one solvent selected from the above-described group and at least
one solvent selected from the group consisting of aliphatic hydrocarbons
and aromatic hydrocarbons.
É possível recuperar um agente reduzindo-se do volume de um material espumado waste da resina do poliestireno comprimido com o agente reduzindo-se do volume e impregne um agente fundindo no material comprimido na temperatura de quarto ordinária. O agente reduzindo-se do volume é preferivelmente um solvente polar que tem o solubility com respeito à resina do poliestireno e que exibe um solubility mútuo com o agente fundindo, que é um cujos delta.h do termo bond do hidrogênio e o delta.p do termo da polaridade dos parâmetros do solubility de Hansen satisf às seguintes circunstâncias: (o delta.p-5.8).sup.2 +(.delta.h-4.3).sup.2 46 [ unidades:(J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2 ] o solvente usado como o agente se reduzindo do volume é preferivelmente ao menos um solvente selecionado das cetonas consistindo do grupo, dos esters, dos acetatos polyhydric do ether do álcool, dos ethers, dos hidrocarbonetos halogenated, dos compostos nitro, e dos amines. O solvente pode ser um solvente misturado que consiste essencialmente ao menos em um solvente selecionado do grupo above-described e ao menos em um solvente selecionado do grupo que consiste em hidrocarbonetos aliphatic e em hidrocarbonetos aromatic.
