The present invention relates to pharmaceutical preparations comprising substituted benzimidazole proton pump inhibitors. There is provided a liquid or solid pharmaceutical dosage form that is not enteric coated or delayed released containing a proton pump inhibitor and a Primary Essential Buffer. When the dosage form is placed in a liquid phase the Primary Essential Buffer maintains the pH of the environment at a value greater than the pKa of the proton pump inhibitor for a time sufficient to substantially avoid acid degradation of the proton pump inhibitor in the environment. Also provided is a method for treating acid-related gastrointestinal disorders by administering a solid pharmaceutical dosage form; and a kit for the preparation of a liquid oral pharmaceutical composition.

De onderhavige uitvinding heeft op farmaceutische voorbereidingen betrekking bestaand uit de gesubstitueerde benzimidazole inhibitors van de protonpomp. Er verstrekt een vloeibare of stevige farmaceutische doseringsvorm wordt die darm met een laag bedekt of geen vertraagd bevrijd bevattend een inhibitor van de protonpomp en een Primaire Essentiële Buffer is. Wanneer de doseringsvorm in een vloeibare fase wordt geplaatst de Primaire Essentiële Buffer pH van het milieu bij een waarde groter dan pKa van de inhibitor van de protonpomp voor een tijd voldoende handhaaft zure degradatie van de inhibitor van de protonpomp in het milieu wezenlijk om te vermijden. Op voorwaarde dat ook een methode is om op zuur betrekking hebbende gastro-intestinale wanorde te behandelen door een stevige farmaceutische doseringsvorm te beheren; en een uitrusting voor de voorbereiding van een vloeibare mondelinge farmaceutische samenstelling.
