The invention describes novel compounds of the formula I which are biologically active as ligands of integrin .alpha..sub.v.beta..sub.3 X--Y--Z--R.sup.1 --CH.sub.2 --R.sup.2 (R.sup.4)--CH.sub.2 --CO--R.sup.5 in which X, Y, Z, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are as defined in claim 1, and their physiologically acceptable salts and solvates.
