The present invention is directed to a process for recycling a fabric containing high performance fibers having a tenacity of at least 10 grams per dtex and a tensile modulus of at least 150 grams per dtex, to make a yarn from the fabric. In the process, and the fabric is cut into pieces where the largest dimension is no larger than 15 centimeters. From 30 to 99 weight percent staple fibers are added to the fabric pieces to make a blend and the fibers of the blend are separated and aligned into a sliver, and the sliver is formed into a twisted yarn. This yarn may be used to make a fabric or any other useful article.

Die anwesende Erfindung wird auf einen Prozeß für die Wiederverwertung eines Gewebes verwiesen, welches die hohe Leistung Fasern enthält, die eine Hartnäckigkeit von mindestens 10 Gramm pro dtex und einen dehnbaren Modul von mindestens 150 Gramm pro dtex haben, ein Garn vom Gewebe zu bilden. Im Prozeß und im Gewebe wird in Stücke geschnitten, in denen das größte Maß nicht größer als 15 Zentimeter ist. Von werden Prozent-Spinnfasern mit 30 bis 99 Gewichten den Gewebestücken hinzugefügt, um eine Mischung zu bilden und die Fasern der Mischung sind in einen Splitter getrennt und ausgerichtet, und der Splitter wird in ein verdrehtes Garn gebildet. Dieses Garn kann benutzt werden, um ein Gewebe oder jeden anderen nützlichen Artikel zu bilden.
