A method of manufacturing material suitable for the construction of a component of a fuel cell, such as a flow field plate or electrode. Uncured resin impregnated flexible graphite sheet is ground into particles. Without re-expanding the particles, and without adding further resin to the particles, the particles are molded into the form of the desired material. The material is then cured. Additives may be mixed with the particles to improve the properties of the material.

Une méthode de matériel de fabrication appropriée à la construction d'un composant d'une cellule de carburant, telle qu'un plat ou une électrode de champ d'écoulement. La feuille flexible de graphite imbibée par résine fraîche est rectifiée dans des particules. Sans re-augmenter les particules, et sans ajouter davantage de résine aux particules, les particules sont moulées dans la forme du matériel désiré. Le matériel est alors traité. Des additifs peuvent être mélangés aux particules pour améliorer les propriétés du matériel.
