A method and an arrangement supplies power in a communications network (100) comprising subscriber side (110) and a provider side (120), the provider side being connected to nodes of the subscriber side through one or more Line Terminals (LT.sub.1, . . . , LT.sub.n) and at least one equipment (111-114) at the subscriber side (110) being connected to the provider side (120) through at least one Net Terminal (NT). The arrangement comprises apparatus for supplying power to the communications network (100) at least during a period of time through the at least one Net Terminal from the at least equipment (111-114).

Eine Methode und eine Anordnung liefert Energie in einem Kommunikationsnetz (100) Teilnehmerseite (110) und eine Versorgerseite (120) enthalten, die Versorgerseite, die an Nullpunkte der Teilnehmerseite durch eine oder mehr Linie Anschlüß angeschlossen wird (LT.sub.1. . . , LT.sub.n) und mindestens eine Ausrüstung (111-114) an der Teilnehmerseite (110) anschließend an die Versorgerseite (120) durch mindestens einen Nettoanschluß (NT). Die Anordnung enthält Apparat für liefernde Energie zum Kommunikationsnetz (100) mindestens während eines Zeitabschnitts durch den mindestens einen Nettoanschluß von der mindestens Ausrüstung (111-114).
