An enclosure for a medical pumping device generally comprises a front shell, a back shell and a polymeric substrate interposed therewith. The polymeric substrate comprises at least one gasket seat corresponding to the perimetric edge of each shell. In use, various components are securely placed within the plurality of component compartments within the polymeric substrate and thereafter encased within the enclosure between the front shell and back shell. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the polymeric substrate also serves to form bumpers about the edges of the enclosure when the shells and substrate are assembled together.

Een bijlage voor een medisch pompend hulpmiddel bestaat uit voorshell, over het algemeen daarmee ingevoegde achtershell en een polymeer substraat. Het polymere substraat bestaat minstens uit één pakkingszetel die aan de perimetric rand van elke shell beantwoordt. In gebruik, worden diverse componenten veilig geplaatst binnen de meerderheid van componentencompartimenten binnen het polymere substraat en binnen de bijlage tussen voorshell en achtershell daarna ingepakt. Overeenstemmend aan de aangewezen belichaming van de onderhavige uitvinding, dient het polymere substraat ook om bumpers over de randen van de bijlage te vormen wanneer shells en het substraat samen worden geassembleerd.
