A steel sheet for preparing a heat shrink band effective for preventing the color drift is provided by a steel sheet having 24 kg/mm.sup.2 or higher of yield stress and 400 or higher of the product between the permeability .mu. under a magnetic field of 0.3 Oe and the sheet thickness.
