This invention relates to a topical composition for treating amino acid based substrates comprising a protected thiol compound having the formula R--(S--Pr).sub.m where R is a functional group, S is sulfur, and Pr is a heterocyclic protecting group, and m is an integer between 1 and 100. The invention further relates to systems which comprise this protected thiol compound and an activating mechanism. The protected thiol compounds of the present invention may be used in hair care compositions, textile care compositions, cosmetic compositions, oral care compositions, skin care, nail care, laundry care, acne care and animal care compositions. A preferred embodiment of the present invention provides a silicone composition and method for making. The composition comprises a polysiloxane or silicone resin, at least one linker, and at least one molecular hook.

Deze uitvinding heeft op een actuele samenstelling voor het behandelen van aminozuur gebaseerde substraten betrekking bestaand uit een beschermde thiolsamenstelling die de formule R -- (S heeft -- Pr).sub.m waar R een functionele groep is, is S zwavel, en PR is een heterocyclische beschermende groep, en m is een geheel tussen 1 en 100. De uitvinding heeft verder op systemen betrekking die uit deze beschermde thiolsamenstelling en een activerend mechanisme bestaan. De beschermde thiolsamenstellingen van de onderhavige uitvinding kunnen in de samenstellingen van de haarzorg, textielzorgsamenstellingen, kosmetische samenstellingen, mondelinge zorgsamenstellingen, van de huidzorg, van de spijkerzorg, van de wasserijzorg, van de acnezorg en van de dierlijke zorg samenstellingen worden gebruikt. Een aangewezen belichaming van de onderhavige uitvinding verstrekt een een siliconesamenstelling en methode om te maken. De samenstelling bestaat uit een polysiloxane of siliconehars, minstens één linker, en minstens één moleculaire haak.
