A refrigeration motor compressor assembly has a housing including a lubricant sump in the bottom thereof into which the lower end of the drive shaft and associated rotor extend. A shield is provided which is positioned by the drive shaft and extends above the oil level in the sump in surrounding spaced relationship to the lower end of the rotor. As the rotor rotates within the shield, lubricant contained therein is thrown out of the surrounding shield and a close fit between the shield and the shaft restricts return flow of lubricant into the area occupied by the rotating rotor.

Ein Abkühlungbewegungskompressorteil hat ein Gehäuse einschließlich einen Schmiermittelsumpf in der Unterseite davon in, welches das unterere Ende der Antriebsachse und der verbundene Rotor verlängern. Ein Schild wird zur Verfügung gestellt, das durch die Antriebsachse in Position gebracht wird und über dem Schmierölstand im Sumpf verlängert, wenn man Raum-Verhältnis zum untereren Ende des Rotors umgibt. Während der Rotor innerhalb des Schildes sich dreht, wird das Schmiermittel, das darin enthalten wird, aus dem umgebenden Schild heraus geworfen und schließen Sie Sitz zwischen dem Schild und der Welle schränkt Rückholfluß des Schmiermittels in den Bereich ein, der durch den drehenden Rotor besetzt wird.
