The invention relates to new s-triazine derivatives of the formula (I):

R.sub.1 represents an --NH--F radical, wherein F is a screening
chromophore; R.sub.2 represents an --NH--Z--W radical, wherein Z is a
divalent radical providing the connection between --NH-- and --W, and W is
a silicone-containing radical; and R.sub.3 is R.sub.1, R.sub.2, a linear
or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl radical, a linear or branched C.sub.2
-C.sub.20 hydroxyalkyl radical, a linear or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.20
alkoxy radical, an NHR.sub.8 radical or an N(R.sub.8).sub.2 radical, with
R.sub.8 being a linear or branched C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl radical. The
compounds of the invention are useful as organic sunscreen agents in
cosmetic compositions intended for the protection of the skin and the hair
against ultraviolet radiation. The invention also relates to the use of
the compounds in cosmetic applications and to cosmetic compositions with
improved properties containing these compounds.
De uitvinding heeft op nieuwe s-triazine derivaten van de formule (I): betrekking ## STR1 ## in welke R.sub.1 een -- NH -- basis van F vertegenwoordigt, waarin F onderzoekschromophore is; R.sub.2 vertegenwoordigt -- NH -- Z -- de basis van W, waarin Z een tweewaardige basis die de verbinding tussen -NH verstrekt is -- en w, en W is een silicone-bevattende basis; en R.sub.3 is R.sub.1, R.sub.2, een lineaire of vertakte C.sub.1 - alkyl basis C.sub.20, een lineaire of vertakte C.sub.2 - hydroxyalkyl basis C.sub.20, een lineaire of vertakte C.sub.1 - alkoxy basis C.sub.20, een basis NHR.sub.8 of een basis N(R.sub.8).sub.2, met R.sub.8 die een lineaire of vertakte C.sub.1 is - alkyl basis C.sub.20. De samenstellingen van de uitvinding zijn nuttig als organische zonneschermagenten in kosmetische samenstellingen voorgenomen voor de bescherming van de huid en het haar tegen ultraviolette straling. De uitvinding heeft ook op het gebruik van de samenstellingen in kosmetische toepassingen en op kosmetische samenstellingen met betere eigenschappen betrekking die deze samenstellingen bevatten.
