A curing agent for epoxy resins, the curing agent containing as an active
ingredient a compound represented by the formula (1) or a salt thereof and
an amine compound or a salt thereof, the curing agent being characterized
in that at least one of the compound represented by the formula (1) and
the amine compound is a salt of thiocyanic acid; and an epoxy resin
composition having the curing agent incorporated therein:

wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and each represents
alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic
group or when taken together, represents alkylene having 2 to 11 carbon
atoms or a group represented by --R.sup.3 --R.sup.4 --R.sup.5 -- wherein
R.sup.3 and R.sup.5 are the same or different and each represents alkylene
having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and R.sup.4 is an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom
or a group .dbd.NR.sup.6 or .dbd.NNH.sub.2, wherein R.sup.6 is a hydrogen
atom or alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms.
Ein Härtemittel für Epoxidharze, das Härtemittel, das als Aktivsubstanz ein Mittel dargestellt wird durch die Formel (1) oder ein Salz davon und ein Aminmittel oder ein Salz davon, das Härtemittel gekennzeichnet wird in diesem mindestens des Mittels dargestellt werden durch die Formel (1) und des Aminmittels enthält, ist ein Salz der thiocyanic Säure; und ein Epoxidharzaufbau, der das Härtemittel darin enthalten läßt: NH.sub.2 N(R.sup.1)(R.sup.2) (1), worin R.sup.1 und R.sup.2 dieselben sind, oder unterschiedlich und jedes das Alkyl darstellt, das 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome, Aryl, eine nitrogenhaltige heterozyklische Gruppe hat, oder, wenn Sie zusammen genommen werden, stellt das Alken dar, das 2 bis 11 Kohlenstoffatome oder ein Gruppe dargestelltes vorbei hat -- R.sup.3 -- R.sup.4 -- R.sup.5 -- worin R.sup.3 und R.sup.5 dieselben sind, oder unterschiedlich und jedes das Alken darstellt, das 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome hat, und R.sup.4 ist ein Sauerstoffatom, ein Schwefelatom oder ein Gruppe dbd.NR.sup.6 oder ein dbd.NNH.sub.2, worin R.sup.6 ein Wasserstoffatom oder -alkyl ist, die 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatome haben.
