The invention relates to a novel fungicidal composition comprising a fungicidally acceptable carrier and/or surface active agent together with, and synergistically effective amounts of (a) at least one benzophenone of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, m and n have the meaning given; at least one fungicidal active ingredient selected from the following groups (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E): (A) an ergosterol biosynthesis inhibitor; (B) a strobilurine derivative, (C) a melanin biosynthesis inhibitor; (D) a compound selected from the group consisting of acibenzolar, benomyl, captan, carboxin, chlorothalonil, copper, cyprodinil, dinocap, dithianon, dimethomorph, dodine, ethirimol, famoxadone, fenpiclonil, fluazinam, mancozeb, metalaxyl, pyrifenox, sulfur, vinclozolin and (E) an azolopyrimidine of formula II ##STR2## in which R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, A, L and p have the meaning given; and to a method of controlling the growth of phytopathogenic fungi at a locus which comprises applying synergistically effective amounts of (a) at least one benzophenones of formula I and (b) at least one fungicidal active ingredient selected from the groups (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) to the locus.

Die Erfindung bezieht auf einem pilztötenden Aufbau des Romans, der eine fungicidally annehmbare Träger und/oder ein oberflächenaktives Vertreter zusammen mit enthalten, und synergistisch wirkungsvollen Mengen von (a) mindestens einem Benzophenon Formel I ## STR1 ##, worin R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, m und n die gegebene Bedeutung haben; mindestens eine pilztötende Aktivsubstanz vorgewählt von den folgenden Gruppen (a), (b), (c), (d) und (e): (a) ein Ergosterolbiosynthesehemmnis; (b) eine strobilurine Ableitung, (c) ein melanin Biosynthesehemmnis; (d) ein Mittel vorgewählt von der Gruppe, die aus acibenzolar, Benomyl, Captan, Karboxin, chlorothalonil, Kupfer, cyprodinil, dinocap, dithianon, dimethomorph, Dodin, ethirimol, famoxadone, fenpiclonil, fluazinam, mancozeb, metalaxyl, pyrifenox, Schwefel, vinclozolin besteht und (e) ein azolopyrimidine von Formel II ## STR2 ##, in dem R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, A, L und p die gegebene Bedeutung haben; und zu einer Methode des Steuerns des Wachstums der phytopathogenic Pilze an einem Ort, der wirkungsvolle Mengen (a) mindestens benzophenones eins von Formel I synergistisch anwenden und (b) mindestens eine pilztötende Aktivsubstanz enthält, wählte von den Gruppen (a), (b), (c), (d) und (e) zum Ort vor.
