A carbonaceous material for use as an anode material in secondary batteries using non-aqueous solvent comprises a material obtained by calcining a solid, the solid, in turn, being obtained by heating tar and/or pitch with furfural in the presence of an acid catalyst, the use of the resulting anode material imparting to the battery a relatively large capacity while having only a small irreversible capacity loss in the first cycle.

Un matériel carboné pour l'usage comme matériel d'anode dans des batteries secondaires employant le dissolvant non aqueux comporte un matériel obtenu en calcinant un solide, le solide, alternativement, obtenu en chauffant le goudron et/ou le lancement avec du furfural en présence d'un catalyseur acide, l'utilisation du matériel résultant d'anode donnant à la batterie une capacité relativement grande tout en ayant seulement une petite perte irréversible de capacité dans le premier cycle.
