The present invention is an flame resistant resin composition comprising: A) from about 50 to about 90 parts by weight of a rubber modified polymer derived from a vinyl aromatic monomer, B) from about 1 to about 8 parts by weight of an impact modifier, C) from about 0.5 to about 5 parts by weight of a polyolefin having a density of greater than 0.940 g/cm.sup.3 and a melt flow rate of less than 4 as measured according to ASTM D1238 at 190.degree. C. using a 2.16 kg weight, D) a sufficient amount of a halogen-containing flame retardant to provide the composition with 7 to 14 parts by weight halogen, and E) from about 2 to about 6 parts by weight of an inorganic flame retardant synergist.
