The present invention relates to an impact strength modifier capable of
imparting both excellent weathering resistance and impact resistance, and
to a resin composition comprising the impact strength modifier and a
thermoplastic resin, particularly a rigid vinyl chloride resin. Since this
impact strength modifier comprises, as a principal component, an acrylic
rubber graft copolymer which is obtained by graft polymerization of a
polyalkyl (meth)acrylate (A) rubber containing a plurality of acrylic
rubber components composed of a specific monomer as a principal component,
and a vinyl monomer (B), it is made possible to improve the impact
resistance, particularly impact resistance at low temperatures, of the
resin and to satisfactorily maintain the weathering resistance by adding a
small amount of the impact strength modifier to the resin. This impact
strength modifier is particularly suited for incorporation into a rigid
vinyl chloride resin.
La présente invention concerne un modificateur de résistance aux chocs capable de donner l'excellente résistance survivant àe et la résistance de l'impact, et à une composition en résine comportant le modificateur de résistance aux chocs et une résine thermoplastique, en particulier une résine rigide de chlorure de vinyle. Puisque ce modificateur de résistance aux chocs comporte, comme composant principal, un copolymère en caoutchouc acrylique de greffe qui est obtenu par polymérisation de greffe d'un polyalkyl (le caoutchouc de meth)acrylate (a) contenant une pluralité de composants en caoutchouc acryliques composés de monomère spécifique comme un composant principal, et un monomère de vinyle (b), il est rendu possible pour améliorer la résistance de l'impact, en particulier résistance de l'impact à de basses températures, de la résine et pour maintenir d'une manière satisfaisante la résistance survivant àe en ajoutant un peu du modificateur de résistance aux chocs à la résine. Ce modificateur de résistance aux chocs approprié en particulier à l'incorporation dans une résine rigide de chlorure de vinyle.
