Iminooxy-substituted benzyl phenyl ethers of the formula I

in which the substituents and the index are as defined below:
Y is H, CH.sub.3, F or Cl;
Q is C(.dbd.CHOCH.sub.3)--COOCH.sub.3, C(.dbd.CHCH.sub.3)--COOCH.sub.3,
C(.dbd.NOCH.sub.3)--COOCH.sub.3, C(.dbd.NOCH.sub.3)--CONHCH.sub.3 or
N(--OCH.sub.3)--COOCH.sub.3 ;
X is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy or CF.sub.3 ;
m is 1 or 2, where the radicals X may be different if m=2;
R.sup.1 is alkyl and
R.sup.2 is hydrogen or alkyl; or
R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together are cyclopropyl, cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl;
R.sup.3 is alkyl or CF.sub.3 ; and
R.sup.4 is alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl, haloalkenyl or haloalkynyl;
