The invention encompasses the novel compounds of Formula I, which are useful in the treatment of cyclooxygenase-2 mediated diseases. ##STR1## The invention also encompasses certain pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of Formula I as well as methods of treating cyclooxygenase-2 mediated diseases comprising administering to a patient in need of such treatment a non-toxic therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula I.
