A system for introducing a homogenous mixture of natural gas and oxygen into the tuyeres of a blast furnace. Included in this system are gas conduits with flow controllers connected to a mixer that produces a homogenous mixture. Provisions are made to by-pass the mixer and to introduce inert gas into the mixer to prevent formation of explosive gas mixtures.

Een systeem om een homogeen mengsel van aardgas en zuurstof in de blaaspijpen van een hoogoven te introduceren. In dit systeem worden de gasbuizen met stroomcontrolemechanismen omvat die aan een mixer worden aangesloten die een homogeen mengsel produceert. De bepalingen worden gemaakt om de mixer te mijden en inert gas te introduceren in de mixer om vorming van explosieve gasmengsels te verhinderen.
