A method of producing a lithographic printing plate which comprises subjecting a printing plate precursor comprising a support having a metallic compound layer which has a photo-catalytic property and a hydrophilic surface and bears light-heat convertible minute particles on the surface thereof to imagewise irradiation of heat mode to convert polarity of the metallic compound layer, thereby forming an imagewise hydrophobic region. The lithographic printing plate can be repeatedly employed.

Une méthode de produire une plaque d'impression lithographique qui comporte soumettre un précurseur de plaque d'impression comportant un appui ayant une couche composée métallique qui a une propriété photo-catalytique et une surface hydrophile et soutient les particules minutieuses convertibles de la lumière-chaleur sur la surface en à l'irradiation sous forme d'image du mode de la chaleur pour convertir la polarité de la couche composée métallique, formant de ce fait une région hydrophobe sous forme d'image. La plaque d'impression lithographique peut être à plusieurs reprises utilisée.
