There is disclosed a method for producing 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 and 2,3-dimethylbutene-2, which is characterized by the steps of (a) dimerizing propylene in a propylene-dimerization step using a nickel complex catalyst as described below as a propylene-dimerization catalyst having propylene-dimerization activity and DMB-1 selectivity, (b) rectifying the resulting reaction solution to obtain 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 as a distillate and a distillation residue containing 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 in a 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 distillation step, (c) allowing the distillation residue to contact with sulfuric acid, sulfonic acid or hetetopolyacid to isomerize 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 in said distillation residue into 2,3-dimethylbutene-2 in an isomerization step, and (d) rectifying the resulting isomerization reaction solution to obtain 2,3-dimethylbutene-2 in a 2,3-dimethylbutene-2 distillation step, wherein said nickel complex catalyst containing (A) at least one nickel compound and the like, (B) a trialkylaluminum, (C) a trivalent phosphorus compound, (D) a fluorinated isopropanol or a halogenated phenol (E) at least one sulfur compound selected from a sulfonic acid and a dialkylsulfuric acid.

Er onthuld een methode wordt om 2.3-dimethylbutene-1 en 2.3-dimethylbutene-2 te produceren, die door de stappen van (a) dimerizing propyleen in een propyleen-dimerization stap gebruikend een nikkel complexe katalysator zoals hieronder beschreven als propyleen-dimerization katalysator die propyleen-dimerization activiteit en dmb-1 selectiviteit heeft worden gekenmerkt, (b) rectificerend de resulterende reactieoplossing om 2.3-dimethylbutene-1 als distillaat te verkrijgen en een distillatieresidu dat 2.3-dimethylbutene-1 in een 2.3-dimethylbutene-1 distillatiestap bevat, (c) toestaand het distillatieresidu aan contact met zwavelachtig zuur, sulfonzuur of hetetopolyacid om 2.3-dimethylbutene-1 in bovengenoemd distillatieresidu in 2.3-dimethylbutene-2 in een isomerisatiestap te isomeriseren, en (d) rectificerend de resulterende oplossing van de isomerisatiereactie om 2.3-dimethylbutene-2 in een 2.3-dimethylbutene-2 distillatiestap te verkrijgen, waarin bovengenoemde nikkel complexe katalysator die (A) bevat is characterized by the steps of (a) dimerizing propylene in a propylene-dimerization step using a nickel complex catalyst as described below as a propylene-dimerization catalyst having propylene-dimerization activity and DMB-1 selectivity, (b) rectifying the resulting reaction solution to obtain 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 as a distillate and a distillation residue containing 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 in a 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 distillation step, (c) allowing the distillation residue to contact with sulfuric acid, sulfonic acid or hetetopolyacid to isomerize 2,3-dimethylbutene-1 in said distillation residue into 2,3-dimethylbutene-2 in an isomerization step, and (d) rectifying the resulting isomerization reaction solution to obtain 2,3-dimethylbutene-2 in a 2,3-dimethylbutene-2 distillation step, wherein said nickel complex catalyst containing (A) at least one nickel compound en dergelijke, (B) een trialkylaluminum, (C) een driewaardige fosforsamenstelling, (D) fluorinated isopropanol of een gehalogeneerd fenol (E) minstens één zwavelsamenstelling die uit een sulfonzuur en een dialkylsulfuric zuur wordt geselecteerd.
