The invention relates to compounds of the formula 1 R.sup.1 --O--(A--O).sub.x --(CH.sub.2).sub.y --R.sup.2 (1) in which R.sup.1 is branched or straight-chain C.sub.4 -C.sub.30 -alkyl, C.sub.4 -C.sub.30 -alkenyl or C.sub.4 -C.sub.30 -alkylaryl, A is C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkylene, x is an integer from 1 to 100, y is 1, 2, 3 or 4 and R.sup.2 is a radical selected from structures of the formulae 2 and 3 --CO--NR.sup.3 R.sup.4 (2) ##STR1## in which one of the radicals R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is a hydrocarbon chain which has at least one free NH or NH.sub.2 group and the other radical is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon chain which has at least one free NH or NH.sub.2 group and R.sup.5 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon chain which has at least one free NH or NH.sub.2 group.

De uitvinding heeft op samenstellingen van formule 1 R.sup.1 -- O betrekking -- (A -- O).sub.x -- (CH.sub.2).sub.y -- R.sup.2 (1) waarin R.sup.1 vertakte of straight-chain C.sub.4 is - C.sub.30 - alkyl, C.sub.4 - C.sub.30 - alkenyl of C.sub.4 - C.sub.30 - alkylaryl, A is C.sub.2 - C.sub.4 - alkylene, x is een geheel van 1 tot 100, is y 1..2..3 of 4 en R.sup.2 is een basis die uit structuren van formules 2 en 3 wordt geselecteerd -- Co -- NR.sup.3 R.sup.4 (2) ## STR1 ## waarin één van de basissen R.sup.3 en R.sup.4 een koolwaterstofketting is die minstens één vrije groep NH of NH.sub.2 en de andere basis heeft is waterstof of een koolwaterstofketting die minstens één vrije groep heeft NH of NH.sub.2 en R.sup.5 waterstof of een koolwaterstofketting is die minstens één vrije groep NH of NH.sub.2 heeft.
