An apparatus comprising an elongate probe member having proximal and distal extremities for use with a suction source to treat a portion of a wall forming a cavity in a body having a natural body opening for accessing the cavity. The elongate probe member has a length so that when the distal extremity is in the vicinity of the portion of the wall the proximal extremity is outside of the body. The distal extremity of the elongate probe member has an outer surface and is provided with at least one recess opening onto the outer surface and an internal passageway communicating with the recess. When the suction source is coupled to the apparatus a suction is created in the recess by means of the passageway to draw the portion of the wall into the recess. A hollow needle is slidably disposed in the elongate probe member and has a distal end portion. The needle is actuatable from outside the body for movement from a retracted position in which the distal end portion of the needle is out of the recess and an extended position in which the distal end portion of the needle extends into the recess. The needle can be extended into the portion of the wall drawn into the recess so as to introduce a material into the portion of the wall and form an implant in the portion of the wall.

Un appareil comportant un membre allongé de sonde ayant les extrémités proximales et distales pour l'usage avec une source d'aspiration de traiter une partie d'un mur formant une cavité dans un corps ayant une ouverture normale de corps pour accéder à la cavité. Le membre allongé de sonde a une longueur de sorte que quand l'extrémité distale est à proximité de la partie du mur l'extrémité proximale soit en dehors de du corps. L'extrémité distale du membre allongé de sonde a une surface externe et est équipée au moins d'une ouverture de cavité sur la surface externe et un passage interne communiquant avec la cavité. Quand la source d'aspiration est couplée à l'appareil une aspiration est créée dans la cavité au moyen du passage pour dessiner la partie du mur dans la cavité. Une aiguille creuse est de façon coulissante disposée dans le membre allongé de sonde et a une partie périphérique distale. L'aiguille est actuatable de l'extérieur du corps pour le mouvement d'une position rentrée en laquelle la partie périphérique distale de l'aiguille est hors de la cavité et d'une position sortie dans lesquelles la partie périphérique distale de l'aiguille avance à la cavité. L'aiguille peut être prolongée dans la partie du mur dessiné dans la cavité afin de présenter un matériel dans la partie du mur et former un implant dans la partie du mur.
