Liquid hard-surface cleaning compositions are disclosed which provide outstanding cleaning performance to the hard-surfaces cleaned therewith. The compositions comprise a polyalkoxylene glycol diester according to formula (I) wherein the substituents R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each independently are substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon chains having from 1 to 36 carbon atoms and wherein n is an integer form 10 to 400, and an amphoteric surfactant according to the formula (II): R.sub.a R.sub.b R.sub.c N or R.sub.a R.sub.b R.sub.c N.sup.+ X ##STR1## wherein the substituent R.sub.a is a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon chain having from 6 to 22 carbon atoms, wherein the substitutents R.sub.b and R.sub.c each independently are a C1 to C6 aklyl carboxylic acid group, which may be the same or different, and wherein X is hydrogen.

As composições líquidas da limpeza da duro-superfície são divulgadas que fornecem o desempenho proeminente da limpeza às duro-superfícies limpadas therewith. As composições compreendem um diester do glicol do polyalkoxylene de acordo com a fórmula (I) wherein os substituents R.sub.1 e R.sub.2 cada um são independentemente correntes substituídas ou unsubstituted, saturated ou unsaturated, lineares ou ramificadas do hidrocarboneto que têm 1 a 36 átomos de carbono e wherein n é um formulário 10 a 400 do inteiro, e um surfactant amphoteric de acordo com a fórmula (ii): ## do ## STR1 de R.sub.a R.sub.b R.sub.c N ou de R.sub.a R.sub.b R.sub.c N.sup.+ X wherein o substituent R.sub.a é uma corrente substituída ou unsubstituted, saturated ou unsaturated, linear ou ramificada do hidrocarboneto que tem 6 a 22 átomos de carbono, wherein os substitutents R.sub.b e R.sub.c cada um são independentemente uns C1 ao grupo do ácido carboxylic do aklyl C6, que pode ser o mesmo ou diferente, e wherein X é hidrogênio.
