A protein having transcription inhibitory activity and lacking at least a part of regions other than a region having DNA binding activity in a transcriptional regulatory factor is provided. This protein can be obtained by isolating cDNA encoding a protein capable of binding to the transcriptional regulatory region of the gene transcription of which is to be inhibited, deleting from the cDNA at least a part of the regions other than the region having DNA-binding activity, inserting the resulting DNA into an appropriate vector, introducing said vector into cells to allow them to express the deleted gene, and isolating and purifying a protein showing the transcription inhibitory activity. For example, the protein can be used in the field of pharmaceuticals as a therapeutic agent. Its use in the field of gene therapy is also expected.

Una proteina che ha attività inibitoria della trascrizione e che difetta almeno di una parte delle regioni tranne una regione che ha attività obbligatoria del DNA in un fattore regolatore di transcriptional è fornita. Questa proteina può essere ottenuta isolando il DNA che mette una proteina in codice capace di legarsi alla regione regolatrice di transcriptional della trascrizione del gene di cui è essere inibita, cancellante dal DNA almeno una parte delle regioni tranne la regione che ha attività DNA-LEGANTESI, inserente il DNA risultante in un vettore adatto, introducente il vettore detto nelle cellule per permetterli di esprimere il gene cancellato ed isolante e purificante una proteina che mostra alla trascrizione l'attività inibitoria. Per esempio, la proteina può essere usata nel campo dei prodotti farmaceutici come agente terapeutico. Il relativo uso nel campo della terapia del gene inoltre è previsto.
