A Head fixation apparatus includes a frame and a fixation structure for repeatably and reproducibily fixing the frame to a patient's head such that locations within the head are spatially definable with reference to frame. The fixation structure includes a cast of the patient's upper teeth and/or palate. The fixation structure further includes a support for rigidly connecting the cast to the frame and biasing structure operable between the head and the frame and/or the fixation structure to bias the cast into positive contact with the upper teeth and/or palate. The apparatus is used in stereotatic diagnosis and treatment.

Een Hoofdbevestigingsapparaat omvat een kader en een bevestigingsstructuur voor repeatably en reproducibily het bevestigen van het kader aan het hoofd van een patiënt dusdanig dat de plaatsen binnen het hoofd ruimte definieerbaar met betrekking tot kader zijn. De bevestigingsstructuur omvat een gietvorm van de hogere tanden en/of het gehemelte van de patiënt. De bevestigingsstructuur omvat verder een steun voor stijf het verbinden van de gietvorm met het kader en beïnvloedend structuur opereerbaar tussen het hoofd en het kader en/of de bevestigingsstructuur om de gietvorm in positief contact met de hogere tanden en/of het gehemelte te beïnvloeden. Het apparaat wordt gebruikt in stereotatic diagnose en behandeling.
