Anti-pruritic compositions and methods of using the compositions for the prevention or treatment of pruritus comprising: ##STR1## wherein: R, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.7, Ar.sup.1 and Ar.sup.2 are as defined in the specification in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
