A camera capable of detecting an abnormality has photographing operation programs, an abnormality detection program, and a checking operation program installed therein. The photographing operation programs cause a plurality of mechanisms included in the camera to act sequentially. The abnormality detection program detects an abnormality in an action of a predetermined one of the plurality of mechanisms. Responsive to detection of the abnormality in the action of the predetermined mechanism, as detected by the abnormality detection program, the checking operation program causes the predetermined mechanism alone to act again for checking of the predetermined mechanism under conditions different from those under which the predetermined mechanism has acted to have the abnormality detected by the abnormality detection program.

Eine Kamera, die zum Ermitteln einer Abweichung fähig ist, hat das Fotografieren von von Betrieb Programmen, von von Abweichung Abfragung Programm und von von überprüfenbetrieb Programm, das darin angebracht wird. Die fotografierenden Betrieb Programme verursachen eine Mehrzahl der Einheiten, die der Reihe nach in der Kamera zur Tat eingeschlossen sind. Das Abweichung Abfragung Programm ermittelt eine Abweichung in einer Tätigkeit von vorbestimmter der Mehrzahl der Einheiten. Entgegenkommend Abfragung der Abweichung in der Tätigkeit der vorbestimmten Einheit, wie durch das Abweichung Abfragung Programm ermittelt, veranläßt das überprüfenbetrieb Programm die vorbestimmte Einheit alleine, für die Überprüfung der vorbestimmten Einheit unter den Bedingungen wieder zu fungieren, die zu denen unterschiedlich sind, unter denen die vorbestimmte Einheit fungiert hat, um die Abweichung zu haben, die durch das Abweichung Abfragung Programm ermittelt wird.
