A process for the preparation of
2-[dimethylamino-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-cyclohexanol of formula 1 by
reducing 1-[cyano(4-methoxyphenyl)-methyl]cyclohexanol of formula 2

with a formylating agent in a protic solvent in the presence of a catalyst,
removing the catalyst by filtration, isolating and purifying the compound
of formula 1 is disclosed.
Un proceso para la preparación de 2-[dimethylamino-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-cyclohexanol del fórmula 1 reduciendo 1-[cyano(4-methoxyphenyl)-methyl]cyclohexanol del ## del ## STR1 del fórmula 2 con un agente formylating en un solvente protic en la presencia de un catalizador, quitando el catalizador por la filtración, aislando y purificando el compuesto del fórmula 1 se divulga.
