Pharmaceutical compositions of 4-(5-cyclopentyloxycarbonylamino-1-methylindol-3-ylmethyl)-3-methoxy-N-o-t olylsulfonylbenzamide and a gelling agent, in particular hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, are described for treating asthma and related diseases. Processes for the preparation of the compositions are described.
