A method and a system for displaying garments over the Internet as though th garments were being draped over the body of a user. The method and system of the present invention fits articles of clothing to an image of a user over the Internet. The image of the user is derived from a picture of the user. Critical points are taken from the image of the user, and are used to adjust the spatial configuration of the clothing. The critical points within the volume of the article of clothing are adjusted to match the critical points of the image of the body of the user, such that the spatial configuration of the article of clothing matches the configuration which would be adopted if the user was actually wearing the article of clothing. The adjusted garment image is combined with the user image and is displayed.

Eine Methode und ein System für das Anzeigen der Kleider über dem Internet, als wenn Thkleider über dem Körper eines Benutzers drapiert wurden. Die Methode und das System der anwesenden Erfindung paßt Artikel des Kleidens zu einem Bild eines Benutzers über dem Internet. Das Bild des Benutzers wird von einer Abbildung des Benutzers abgeleitet. Kritische Punkte werden vom Bild des Benutzers genommen und werden benutzt, um die räumliche Konfiguration der Kleidung zu justieren. Die kritischen Punkte innerhalb des Volumens des Artikels von Kleidung werden justiert, um die kritischen Punkte des Bildes des Körpers vom Benutzer, so zusammenzubringen, daß die räumliche Konfiguration des Artikels von Kleidung die Konfiguration zusammenbringt, die angenommen würde, wenn der Benutzer wirklich den Artikel von Kleidung trug. Das justierte Kleidbild wird mit dem Benutzerbild kombiniert und wird angezeigt.
