A pigment composition comprising pigment and an amido phthalocyanine compound having the general formula I: MPc--(CONR.sup.1 R.sup.2).sub.n I wherein which Pc is a phthalocyanine ring which is optionally further substituted by up to an average of one chlorine or bromine atom or of a sulphonic acid; M is hydrogen or a metal such as Mg, Al, Ni, Fe, Zn, Pb, Sn or Cu: n is a number ranging from 0.1 to 4.0; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 alkyl, C.sub.5 -C.sub.12 cycloalkyl, C.sub.7 -C.sub.12 aralkyl, C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aryl, C.sub.4 -C.sub.6 alkyl amino alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.20 aliphatic amine, C.sub.2 -C.sub.20 aliphatic amine acid salt, C.sub.2 -C.sub.20 alcohol, polyoxyalkylene, polyoxyalkylene amine.

Uma composição do pigment que compreendem o pigment e um phthalocyanine amido combinam ter a fórmula geral I: MPc -- (CONR.sup.1 R.sup.2).sub.n I wherein que PC é um anel do phthalocyanine que seja opcionalmente mais adicional substituído até por uma média de um átomo do cloro ou do bromo ou de um ácido sulphonic; M é hidrogênio ou um metal tal como o magnésio, o al, o Ni, o Fe, o zn, o pb, o sn ou o cu: n é um número que varia de 0.1 a 4.0; R.sup.1 e R.sup.2 são selecionados independentemente do hidrogênio, C.sub.1 - C.sub.20 alkyl, C.sub.5 - C.sub.12 cycloalkyl, C.sub.7 - C.sub.12 aralkyl, C.sub.6 - C.sub.10 arilo, C.sub.4 - C.sub.6 amino alkyl alkyl, C.sub.2 - C.sub.20 amine aliphatic, C.sub.2 - sal ácido do amine C.sub.20 aliphatic, C.sub.2 - C.sub.20 álcool, polyoxyalkylene, amine do polyoxyalkylene.
