Iodopropargylamine compound of the general formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 combine with each other to form a tetramethylene group or a pentamethylene group, R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and X and Y each independently represent a cyano group, an alkoxycarbonyl group having 2 to 7 carbon atoms, an alkylcarbonyl group having 2 to 7 carbon atoms, an alkylsulfonyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a phenylcarbonyl group or a phenylsulfonyl group, provided that the phenyl group of a phenylcarbonyl group or a phenylsulfonyl group may be optionally substituted by halogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, nitro groups or trifluoromethyl groups. The compound are useful as the active ingredient for industrial antibacterial and antifungal agents, algicides, and agents for preventing adhesion of organisms.

Iodopropargylamine Mittel der allgemeinen Formel (1): ## STR1 ## worin R.sup.1 und R.sup.2 jedes unabhängig ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Alkylgruppe darstellen, die 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatome oder Mähdrescher R.sup.1 haben und R.sup.2 mit einander, zum einer Tetramethylengruppe oder der pentamethylene Gruppe zu bilden, stellt R.sup.3 ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Alkylgruppe dar, die 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatome haben, und X und Y jedes stellen unabhängig eine Cyanogruppe, eine alkoxycarbonyl Gruppe, die 2 bis 7 Kohlenstoffatome haben, eine alkylcarbonyl Gruppe, die 2 bis 7 Kohlenstoffatome haben, eine alkylsulfonyl Gruppe, die 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatome haben, eine phenylcarbonyl Gruppe oder eine phenylsulfonyl Gruppe dar, vorausgesetzt daß die Phenyl- Gruppe einer phenylcarbonyl Gruppe oder der phenylsulfonyl Gruppe kann beliebig sein ersetzt durch Halogenatome, die Alkylgruppen, die 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatome haben, die alkoxy Gruppen, die 1 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatome haben, die Nitrogruppen oder die trifluoromethyl Gruppen. Das Mittel sind als die Aktivsubstanz für industrielles antibakterielles Mittel und pilzbefallverhütende Mittel, Algicide und Mittel für das Verhindern von von Adhäsion der organismen nützlich.
