A communications platform for enabling the cost-effective deployment of fixed wireless local loop telephone services to residential and commercial subscribers. The platform includes at least one Independent Central Office located within a new residential or commercial development, and connected to the public switched telephone network (PSTN), at least one subscriber base station, and subscriber terminals communicating with the fixed network via a fixed wireless local loop radio path. The customer premise equipment of the telephone subscriber is connected to a switch at the Independent Central Office facility via the fixed wireless local loop radio path, and the switch at the Independent Central Office facility is connected to the incumbent local exchange carrier (LEC) switch at the LEC Central Office facility via direct inward dialing (DID) and direct outbound dialing (DOD) services provided via respective DID and DOD trunk lines. Deployment costs of the Independent Central Office fixed wireless local loop platform are absorbed by building the platform in new residential and/or commercial developments and providing the platform as part of the new communications infrastructure.

Een communicatie platform voor het toelaten van de rendabele plaatsing van de vaste draadloze diensten van de aansluitnettelefoon aan woon en commerciële abonnees. Het platform omvat minstens één Onafhankelijk Hoofdkantoor dat binnen een nieuwe woon of commerciële ontwikkeling wordt gevestigd, en dat met het openbare geschakelde telefoonnet (PSTN) wordt verbonden, minstens één abonneebasisstation, en abonneeterminals die met het vaste netwerk via een vaste draadloze aansluitnet radioweg communiceren. De abonneeapparatuur van de telefoonabonnee wordt aangesloten aan een schakelaar bij de Onafhankelijke faciliteit van het Hoofdkantoor via de vaste draadloze aansluitnet radioweg, en de schakelaar bij de Onafhankelijke faciliteit van het Hoofdkantoor wordt aangesloten aan de zittende lokale schakelaar van de uitwisselingsdrager (LEC) bij de faciliteit van het Hoofdkantoor LEC via het directe binnenkomende draaien () en de directe uitgaande draaiende (DOD) diensten die via respectief DEDEN en DOD boomstamlijnen worden verleend. Kosten van de plaatsing van het Onafhankelijke Hoofdkantoor bevestigden draadloos aansluitnetplatform worden geabsorbeerd door het platform in nieuwe woon en/of commerciële ontwikkelingen te bouwen en het platform als deel van de nieuwe communicatie-infrastructuur te verstrekken.
