A benzimidazole derivative or a salt thereof expressed by the following
Formula (I):

wherein one of A and B is a hydrocarbon group of C.sub.10-30 expressed by
R.sup.1 and the other is --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 ; R.sup.2
and R.sup.3 individually represent H, lower alkyl, phenyl or benzyl, or
--NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 may be a heterocycle having 3-7 members, or
--CONR.sup.5 --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 may be the following
Group (W):

wherein R.sup.2 is H, lower alkyl, phenyl or benzyl and ring E is a
heterocycle of 6 or 7 members; R.sup.4 is selected from the group
consisting of H, halogen, cyano, trifluoromethyl, lower alkyl and etc.;
R.sup.5 is H, lower alkyl, lower acyl or lower alkylcarbamoyl; m is 0 or
1; and n is an integer of 0-5. The benzimidazole derivative or the salt
thereof has excellent hair growth and regrowth promoting effects, which
are useful for care, improvement or prevention of hair loss in mammals
and, in particular, in human.
Um derivative do benzimidazole ou um sal expressado disso pela seguinte fórmula (i): ## do ## STR1 wherein um de A e de B é um grupo do hidrocarboneto de C.sub.10-30 expressado por R.sup.1 e outro é -- (CH.sub.2).sub.n -- NR.sup.2 R.sup.3; R.sup.2 e R.sup.3 representam individualmente H, um alkyl, phenyl mais baixo ou benzyl, ou -- NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 pode ser um heterocycle que tem 3-7 membros, ou -- CONR.sup.5 -- (CH.sub.2).sub.n -- NR.sup.2 R.sup.3 pode ser o seguinte grupo (w): ## do ## STR2 wherein R.sup.2 é H, um alkyl, um phenyl mais baixo ou benzyl e o anel E são um heterocycle de 6 ou 7 membros; R.sup.4 é selecionado do grupo que consiste em H, em halogênio, em cyano, trifluoromethyl, um alkyl mais baixo e etc.; R.sup.5 é H, um alkyl mais baixo, um acyl mais baixo ou um alkylcarbamoyl mais baixo; m é 0 ou 1; e n é um inteiro de 0-5. O derivative do benzimidazole ou o sal têm disso o crescimento excelente e o regrowth do cabelo que promovem os efeitos, que são úteis para o cuidado, a melhoria ou a prevenção da perda do cabelo nos mamíferos e, no detalhe, no ser humano.
